Having trouble completing your beach house reservation? We're here to help!

Quick Tip: Most checkout issues can be resolved by refreshing the page, trying a different browser, or clearing your browser cache. Start with the solutions below based on what you're experiencing. If these solutions don't work, please contact us and we'll help you complete your booking.

PayPal Window Appears Blank or Won't Load

After clicking the PayPal button, the popup window appears but stays blank or shows a white screen.

  • Refresh and try again: Close the blank popup, refresh our checkout page, and click the PayPal button again.
  • Try a different browser: If using Firefox, try Chrome or Safari. Some Firefox privacy settings can interfere with PayPal popups.
  • Try a different email address: Use a different email address (one not associated with an existing PayPal account) during the checkout process.
  • Disable pop-up blockers: Ensure your browser isn't blocking the PayPal window. Add our site to your browser's allowed list.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies: Go to your browser settings and clear browsing data for PayPal.com. This resolves most blank window issues.
  • Check browser extensions: Temporarily disable ad blockers, privacy extensions, or security add-ons that might be blocking the PayPal modal.

Fraud/Risk Alert or Credit Card Rejection ($10K+ Transactions)

For high-value bookings ($10,000 or more), PayPal or your credit card company may reject the transaction as a fraud risk, even if everything is legitimate.

  • This is normal for large transactions: Payment processors automatically flag high-dollar amounts to protect against fraud. It's not a reflection on you or our business.
  • Contact us immediately: Contact us and we will create a custom invoice for you to attempt the transaction seperately on PayPal.
  • Call your credit card company: Let them know you're making a legitimate vacation rental booking and ask them to approve the transaction. Then try again.
  • Use PayPal Credit or bank transfer: Alternative payment methods may have higher fraud thresholds than credit cards.
  • Try a different card: Business credit cards or cards with higher limits sometimes have more lenient fraud detection.

Stuck on "Securely Logging You In..." Screen

The PayPal window shows a loading spinner or "Securely logging you in..." message that never completes.

  • Check your internet connection: A slow or unstable connection can cause timeout issues.
  • Wait 60 seconds then close: Sometimes the process completes but appears frozen. Wait a full minute before closing the window.
  • Log out of PayPal: Open PayPal.com in a new tab, log out completely, then return to our checkout and try again.
  • Clear PayPal cookies specifically: Clear cookies for paypal.com from your browser settings.

Can't See the PayPal Login Form

The PayPal window opens but you can't enter your login credentials, or you see overlapping windows.

  • Look behind other windows: The PayPal login might be hidden behind another browser window or tab.
  • Close overlapping popups: If you see a blank overlay covering the login form, click anywhere on it or press Escape to dismiss it.
  • Resize your browser window: Try maximizing your browser or adjusting the window size.

Payment Completes But Page Doesn't Update

You successfully pay through PayPal, but our site still shows the checkout page instead of a confirmation.

  • Don't pay again! Your payment likely went through. Check your PayPal account or email for confirmation.
  • Return to the checkout tab: After completing payment in the popup, click back to the original checkout page tab and wait 10-15 seconds.
  • Close the PayPal popup manually: After payment confirmation appears in the popup, close it and refresh the checkout page.
  • Check your email: You should receive both a PayPal receipt and our booking confirmation within 5 minutes.

Additional Troubleshooting

Some security or privacy tools can interfere with PayPal checkout:

  • VPN or Proxy: Temporarily disable VPN services during checkout, as they can cause PayPal authentication issues.
  • Antivirus Software: Some antivirus programs block payment popups. Add our site to your trusted list.
  • Ad Blockers: Disable ad blocking extensions like uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus, or Privacy Badger for our site.
  • Cookie Settings: Ensure third-party cookies are enabled, as PayPal requires them to function.
